STRIKER is designed to connect the operator's authorised decision to the effector that stops a hostile drone: a capture net, a kinetic interceptor that brings it down, or an RF jammer that cuts its link. The effectors are manufactured and supplied by authorised partners under their own authorisations, and are used only where the law allows — typically by armed forces and authorities with a legal mandate. VAERN does not manufacture effectors; the integration is being developed together with partners and is not finished yet.

VAERN covers the decision and control layer and integrates the effector at the far end: capture nets, kinetic interceptors and RF jammers from authorised partners — or an effector the customer already operates. At civilian sites VAERN provides the air picture and the decision basis; any engagement is carried out by the forces or authorities with the legal mandate.
